Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart

Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart Filipino Restaurant

Overview

Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart brings a Filipino dining option to 1027 NE Alberta St in Portland, Oregon, giving diners another place to consider when exploring the city’s varied food scene. Its food-cart format naturally suits Portland’s casual approach to dining, where a memorable meal does not necessarily require a formal restaurant setting. For anyone specifically searching for Filipino food in Portland, the name makes the concept immediately clear while the NE Alberta Street address places it within an established urban dining area.

The appeal of a Filipino food cart lies partly in the opportunity to experience a cuisine known for layered flavors and a broad range of culinary influences. However, diners researching Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart should consult the current menu before visiting, since no specific dishes, prices, serving sizes, or daily specials have been provided here. Avoiding assumptions is especially important with independent food businesses, where offerings can change and menus may be more focused than those at larger restaurants.

Location is another practical consideration. Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart is listed at 1027 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR 97211, United States. That precise address is useful for visitors comparing locations, planning a meal around other activities in Portland, or simply determining whether the cart is convenient for their route. Because operating schedules and service arrangements can change, checking current information before making a dedicated trip is sensible.

When reading reviews of Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart, it helps to look beyond simple star ratings. Comments about flavor, freshness, portion size, value, ordering speed, and consistency can provide more meaningful context. Recent reviews are particularly useful for food carts because they may reflect current menu choices and the latest customer experience. At the same time, individual opinions about seasoning, richness, and preferred dishes are subjective, so several detailed reviews usually provide a clearer picture than a single enthusiastic or critical comment.

The food-cart setting may also appeal to diners who prefer an informal meal rather than a traditional sit-down experience. It can work well for a quick lunch, a casual dinner, or an opportunity to try Filipino cuisine without the expectations associated with a more elaborate dining room. Still, practical details such as seating, takeaway arrangements, accessibility, payment methods, and wait times should be verified through current business information rather than assumed.

For people comparing Filipino restaurants and food carts around Portland, Baon Kainan Filipino Food Cart stands out primarily through its clearly defined cuisine and NE Alberta Street location. Prospective customers can use the address as a starting point, then check the latest menu, opening hours, prices, and recent reviews before visiting. This approach provides a more reliable picture of what the cart currently offers while allowing diners to decide whether its location and style of service fit the meal they have in mind.

We've been here a couple of times now. Get their Kare-kare fries, ube bibingka, and whatever vegetarian dish they have. All are amazing! Their fried chicken is good. Nice crispy skin! However, We've found some of their dishes to be too salty for our tastes. The chicken adobo is too salty. The first time we tried it, we thought maybe we got an over salted portion, but nope. The recipe is too salty for our tastes. The pancit molo was also too salty for us After all that, though, I'm eating a bibingka as I type this and am planning on going back for more! The ube bibingka are delicious!

The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. What was originally a bummer when the food truck that I wanted to try was closed turned into a blessing when Baon was the next available. Without hesitation Baon stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. The Vegan rice bowl was scrumptious! Their chicken recipes sounded amazing as well. This food truck is now on my list of favorites, and it was my first time experiencing Filipino cuisine! It’s safe to say they made a great first impression on me. Go give them a try for yourself!

First time coming here! Very great tasting food! So happy to experience some Filipino dishes while out in Portland! Very interesting concept having to be a food truck!

Tried their dessert last time and this was able to make it to the food cart to try some of their other items. The Breakfast bowl (tosilog) was money! The pork belly tocino over garlic rice with a couple eggs is a simple but tasty dish. The chicken adobo was also good as the chicken was nice and tender and super flavorful.

The friendliest people run this food truck. Been here a few times and by this point I’ve tried a good amount of the menu. Each dish has been great. I’m a huge fan of Filipino dishes and crave this cart all the time. My favorite dishes are definitely the pancit and lumpia. Love this spot

New location in Alberta , they served a version of the local fast food classic, I thought it fell short on taste. Chicken was not seasoned and their take on palabok was short on sauce. Maybe I’ll try the other menu items in the future. Old Review : Experience home cook Filipino food, tasty specially the Arroz Caldo - rice porridge with generous shrimp portions. Their Tocilog contains two eggs and pork that is cooked just right. Portion size is ok - would wish that there is some more for the price paid. Overall I would come back. Thank you for being open and available for the community.

Finally got to try this place. The Sunday brunch selections were limited. But, they nailed a traditional Filipino breakfast with the Silogs. Everything was delicious. The pork belly was awesome with the glazed pork, runny eggs, and Sinangag (garlic rice.) we also tried the bistek version. The beef was flavorful and tender. We shared some crispy, fried lumpia and a house made kalamansi soda. I can't wait to go back for some of the regular menu!!

The hashbrowns are unreal and incredibly crispy. I got the big breakfast and it was fantastic. Good pan de sal and tried the calamansi bar which was also so good. Don't skip this delicious Filipino bakery and breakfast place. The owner and staff are very friendly as well
